Shoot preparation checklist for the team, contributors, and venue

A shoot becomes more predictable when the script has been translated into concrete shots, contributors understand their actions, and the venue, wardrobe, and props have been checked in advance. The checklist exposes gaps before the crew arrives.

Who this is for

For clients, producers, coordinators, contributors, and brand teams preparing an interview, product shoot, instruction, commercial, or company film.

How we work

Use one current script and shot plan, schedule scenes around locations, people, light, and resets, and brief every participant on time, place, role, and appearance. Inspect access, noise, reflections, power, routes, and equipment space; assign owners to props and source assets; and define who can make decisions if the plan changes.

What you receive

The final configuration follows the approved brief, channels, source materials, schedule, and rights framework.

Scope and limitations. The preparation package demonstrates readiness but cannot guarantee that external conditions will not change. Permissions, consents, and publication limits must be resolved for the actual project, with ambiguous points escalated appropriately. Major scene changes on the shoot day can affect the remaining schedule and scope and require a clear decision owner.

Content with a clear purpose

Inputs

Start with an audience and one outcome: explain, demonstrate, support a choice or prepare an enquiry. Collect facts, source assets and constraints, and name the person who checks them. Annotate references with the technique you want and the reason for it.

Working review

Separate the master content from platform adaptations. Check format, duration, mobile readability, sound, subtitles and safe areas. Agree versions, timing and review rounds before production.

Handoff

Before handoff, verify facts, contacts, links, filenames and asset permissions. Give every version a clear purpose and approval status. Publication, paid placement and account access are agreed separately from content production.
